These job roles may be suitable for hybrid working, which is an informal, non-contractual and voluntary arrangement, blending a balance of attendance in the workplace (your permanent duty station which is based on business assessment of where the work is best done) and working remotely.
The successful candidate is required to carry out all their duties from a UK location and cannot do so from an overseas location at any time.

Job description
This role will offer great insight into the work of the Government’s Project Delivery Function and the chance to support delivery of two Government Major Projects. The successful candidate will be a Personal Assistant to two senior leaders in Defence Digital – the SRO for Skynet 6 and NSoIT(D) and the Head of the Joint User Organisation. You will provide effective and high-quality one-to-one support to both senior leaders, undertaking a variety of clerical, admin, and decision-making tasks.
Responsibilities include:
- Monitoring and managing the respective mailboxes, processing incoming and outgoing mail, prioritising information and filtering e-mails.
- Ensuring that items are appropriately categorised, allocated and actioned.
- Managing the respective in-trays, proactively printing emails for action and sorting papers of various classifications and distributing out-tray as appropriate.
- Actively managing the respective calendars, making decisions on meeting requests as appropriate and commissioning and organising relevant briefing packs/papers and ensuring daily meeting papers are correct.
- Coordinating all material and support (including travel bookings), for both senior leaders’ meetings and visits at other MOD duty stations.
- Proactive and forward planning of the SRO and Hd Jt User’s time, ensuring urgent matters are identified and highlighted as soon as possible.
- Providing secretariat support at team and stakeholder meetings for the SRO and Hd Jy User, providing logistical support, commissioning and organising relevant briefing packs.
- Building and maintaining excellent working relationships with internal and external stakeholders at all levels.
- Assisting in setting up video conference / telephone conferences and other basic technical assistance.
- Managing electronic filing system in accordance with PMO guidance.
It is essential that you have good working knowledge of Microsoft Office packages.

We are looking for an enthusiastic, self-motivated individual with the ability to retain information, who possesses good communication skills, is confident and able to work under pressure whilst always remaining polite and courteous.
You will need to have the ability to use a degree of initiative, whilst prioritising daily duties and managing your own workload.
