Digital Learning Developer – 12 month Fixed-Term Contract

Henley Business School is looking for a Digital Learning Developer to create high quality eLearning material for an audience of military personnel. This is a full time post, which allows the post holder to work remotely if needed, however you may occasionally be required to commute to and work from the University of Reading (Whiteknights campus).
Working in collaboration with Henley Business School and University of Reading faculty and the Learning Innovation and Development Hub, you will be required to develop new modules as well update and modernise our existing Army Higher Education Pathway (AHEP) programme content by producing, creating and developing high quality digital learning modules and materials that reflect our client’s educational aims and maximise student’s engagement and learning.
Main duties and responsibilities:
- You will be responsible for producing, creating and developing, and where needed, innovative digital learning products to provide a coherent and consistent experience across the various pathways, using our VLE (Canvas) and authoring tools (Articulate Rise/Articulate 360).
- You will work closely with the Instructional Design team, technical teams and internal subject matter experts on each module. You will need to understand and apply the Instructional Designer’s vision and translate it into a concrete form.
- You will ensure timely delivery of digital content as per the project schedule.
- You will be required to follow quality assurance processes to ensure a high quality output.
You will have:
- Strong Articulate 360 (Storyline and Articulate Rise) skills.
- Graphic design skills
- Adobe Creative Cloud Suite or Affinity Photo/Designer.
- Skilled in editing video content for digital learning use.
- Intermediate programming skills HTML, CSS and JavaScript.
- Meticulous attention to detail and highly organised.
- Ability to work to tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- A sound understanding of technology-enhanced learning.
- A deep understanding of user friendly design and creative course layouts.
- A deep understanding of how adults learn.
- Demonstrate ability to produce innovative, engaging and interactive digital/e-learning content using a variety of tools.
