Our client is a leading IT solutions provider who are undergoing a major business transformation and this role will be a key contributor to future business changes. You will be working for a highly experienced and very bright manager who will coach and evolve you, so that you can perform at your best.
As a Data Scientist you will be involved in:
- Understanding business problems and designing end to end analytics models to provide insightful information to relevant stakeholders.
- Working with stakeholders across user journeys including pricing, sales effectiveness, customer engagement, customer retention, inventory management etc.
- Building performance management tools based on delivery use cases and expected return, helping to steer the business from lagging to leading measures of success.
- Developing the analytics knowledge bank to quickly replicate and scale solutions across different parts of the business.
- Bringing new ideas or use cases by understanding the strategic needs of each business unit.
- Participating in ad-hoc analysis as and when required.
The key skills required for the Data Scientist role are:
- Proficient Python coding skills
- SQL
- Any experience with PowerBI/Tableau/Qlik or similar style technologies
Experience sought after for the Data Scientist role:
- 2+ years’ experience working in a statistical/data science role
- Experience of working with large datasets

This Data Scientist opportunity is offered on a hybrid set up, with ideally a weekly office visit to Basingstoke (a free bus service from Basingstoke train station to the office is offered to support with the commute).
