In the E.ON Next Data Team, we are obsessed with delivering data products to the business to enable them to best serve our customers. We are stakeholder-centric, leveraging tools to automate our reports and utilise modern ways of working to ultimately make life easier for our customers. Whether you have had a role like data analyst, data scientist, analytics engineer or data engineer, we are looking for people with mid-to-senior-level experience working proactively with the business to provide data and data science products developed in python to best support and inform internal stakeholders and drive business value.

  • Worked with and authored modular python code including classes, functions and unit tests.
  • Set up and run data pipelines feeding models or tools.
  • Built and delivered productionised analytics solutions utilising statistics or machine learning.
  • Used SQL to write complex queries joining tables.
  • Worked with Git, or similar, using branches and pull requests for collaborative development.
  • Worked collaboratively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to achieve a goal.
  • Experienced with understanding stakeholder requirements and managing their expectations.
Things you might do
  • Develop tools and data science products for the business.
  • Advise a stakeholder on model or design approaches for their request.
  • Build tables in SQL using AWS Athena.
  • Visualise data in creative ways (in Tableau).
  • Review colleague’s code for accuracy and style.
  • Share your knowledge with the data team.
  • Create reports and communicate outputs / results to relevant members of the business.
  • Work closely with data engineers experts to optimise code and efficiency.

  • Salary - £50k to £60k dependant on experience
  • Location - Nottingham, London, Bolton or leicester office with travel to our other sites when required.
  • Working environment: Flexible hybrid working, you'll only be asked to come into the office for important team catch ups.
