Job description

The Information Team are looking for a dedicated, enthusiastic and competent individual to join their innovative, award winning team as Data Quality and Assurance Officer. The Information Team have developed a reputation for putting Information in the hands of those who need it. The successful candidate will be able to identify gaps in information provision and develop and embed solutions to enable evidence based decision making.

The post holder will be joining us at an exciting but challenging time as the Trust faces multiple complex challenges meaning the role of data has never been so prominent. Providing informatics solutions/insight to these problems will need;

  • good communication skills

  • the ability to analyse and challenge
  • problem solving
Support the Access Governance Managers in ensuring a consistent approach in the application of the Trust’s Patient Access Policy and oversee adherence to the Trust’s Administrative Guidance Notes and Policy, data quality and provision of audit and information to support the Trust in the effective implementation of relevant national and local policies and procedures
  • Help provide Assurance to the organisation, through an assurance framework, which will assure the pathway management, validation team processes and reporting framework
  • Highlight key Data Quality areas in the organisation and escalate
  • Undertake regular audits linked to the assurance framework and provide assurance and recommendation based on the outcomes
The organisation is currently launching its new improvement focus in the form of an improvement system called We Care. The We Care System is a fundamentally new model that the organisation will be shifting to, it champions empowerment, promotes innovation and will bolster the connection and collaboration of staff throughout the organisation.

The We Care System utilises a multi-layered approach to improvement allowing staff to develop and produce a variety of ideas to combat the issues and problems that have been identified. The system allows for the deployment of:
  • Strategic Initiatives which are long term projects and focus led and driven by our executive
  • Trust Priority Improvement Projects which are short term projects allocated to a range of project teams made up from our staff groups focusing on impacting our True North metrics and breakthrough objectives
  • Ward Based OMS which delivers daily management and continuous improvement on the frontline
