Description
Our client is looking for a Data Protection Solicitor to come in and assist the Company in matters relating to data protection, privacy and GDPR. You will have in-depth experience of managing privacy and data protection programmes including experience of GDPR management.
Based in Camberley, the company does offer hybrid / flexible opportunities.
The ideal candidate will:
- Be a qualified Solicitor with strong experience in managing data privacy / protection and data compliance
- Provide support including assistance with support in data privacy impact assessment (DPIA), data privacy incident management and handle data subject requests
- Draft and negotiate data processing agreements
- Have good written and verbal communication skills, ability to work well and deliver data advice to non-lawyers in a common-sense manner
- Demonstrate strong analytical and problem-solving skills
In-house experience would be desirable, but the client would consider a private practice lawyer looking to move in-house who could point to good business and commercial skills.
Our client envisages that candidates with at least 3 years PQE plus will have the relevant skills / knowledge for this position, however this has been given as an approximate guide for applicants and our client is happy to consider the applications of candidates who fall outside of this PQE range but who have the relevant experience.
