Job description
We'll challenge you to work outside your comfort zone and encourage you to grow as part of the largest legal collaboration in Policing
An exciting opportunity has arisen within the East Midlands Police Legal Services; we are looking to recruit a Graduate Paralegal on a full time (37 hours) permanent basis, based at Alfreton.
As well as providing legal services to the Chief Constable and the Police and Crime Commissioner of Derbyshire, we work with Leicestershire, Lincolnshire, Northamptonshire and Nottinghamshire constabularies and Northamptonshire Fire Service.
As a Graduate Paralegal you will support the solicitors in providing an effective and efficient service in relation to a variety of legal matters to the police forces within the East Midlands Police Legal Services Collaboration. You will also carry a commensurate legal caseload, whilst you complete your Legal Practice Course (with financial support from us) before embarking on a traineeship with us.
To help you push forwards in your career with us, we invest in developing our team as well as looking after them, with an expansive wellbeing and counselling service along with a range of support networks.
For part time hours the salary will be calculated on a pro-rata basis, this is based on the number of hours for the vacancy.
We welcome applications from individuals from all backgrounds and encourage anyone who has considered a career in policing to apply. We are particularly keen to increase the number of females and candidates from black and minority ethnic communities and candidates from the LGBT community, so that we can truly reflect the communities that we serve in.
