- Collaborate with the Analytics Team Manager and engage with senior stakeholders within the bank to discern business priorities and determine analytical needs to shape and bolster business strategies.
- Steer and execute on array of analytical and modelling projects from concept to completion.
- Utilising advanced analytical solutions to extract information from a variety of data sources, translating complex data into comprehensible business language.
- Contribute innovative ideas for projects, demonstrating keen business acumen and commercial insight.
- Mentor and upskill junior analysts to foster their development and contributions to the team.
- Establish oneself as the Subject Matter Expert in the relevant area of expertise.
- Manage the creation, maintenance, and enhancement of a collection of strategic projects and reports.
- Manage stakeholder relationships adeptly and align expectations.
- Uphold stringent standards of accuracy and governance to ensure the integrity and reliability of data-driven insights.
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, SQL, BigQuery and SAS is essential.
- Familiarity with GCP (Google Cloud Platform) is advantageous.
- Experience with data visualisation tools like QlikSense & Looker is desirable.
- Exceptional analytical reasoning skills, with the ability to distil complex data into actionable business insights.
- Excellent oral and written communication and negotiation skills to colleagues across diverse organisational levels.
- Proven ability to manage stakeholders effectively and to drive business decisions through insights.
- Demonstrated experience in mentoring and upskilling team members
- Understanding of Commercial Banking or financial services is desirable.
The base location for this role will be either Birmingham or London with hybrid working.
