Reporting to: Associate Director of Marketing Operations
Salary: $80,000 - $90,000 CAD
Location: Remote (Based in British Columbia, Alberta, Manitoba, Saskatchewan, Ontario, Nova Scotia or willing to relocate)
Description:
WES (World Education Services) is looking for a Marketing Data Analyst. This position will be responsible for analyzing and interpreting data to inform a go-forward marketing strategy. In addition, this position will analyze, evaluate and monitor the performance of marketing initiatives by developing and refining techniques used to measure engagement, conversion, and trends for marketing. Working with the Growth Marketing and Data teams, the Marketing Data Analyst will help create profitable marketing plans and evaluate the multichannel impact of marketing activities on engagement, sales, and ROI.
Duties included but not limited to:
- Extracting, transforming, and loading data from various sources, including third-party APIs, databases, and marketing platforms.
- Designing and implementing marketing dashboards and reports in Tableau or other BI tools, using data visualization best practices to communicate complex data insights.
- Using data from marketing platforms like Google Analytics, Marketo, Hootsuite to determine the revenue impact of marketing campaigns and activities
- Conducting ad-hoc analysis to answer specific business questions and support decision-making processes.
- Applying data science methodologies and models to identify patterns and trends in customer behavior, segmentation, and lifetime value.
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams, including marketing, product, and data engineering, to ensure data accuracy and consistency.
- Managing multiple projects simultaneously, from requirements gathering to deployment and maintenance, while adhering to deadlines and quality standards.
Requirements:
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in SQL and Python, with a focus on marketing analytics.
- Experience building data pipelines using Python, Data Pipeline software and ETL tools.
- Experience with data mining and data preparation.
- Proficiency in Tableau or other BI tools, with a solid understanding of data visualization principles and best practices.
- Experience with Google Analytics, Marketo, CRMs and social media platforms a plus.
- Familiarity with Snowflake and/or other cloud-based data warehousing solutions.
- Knowledge of machine learning concepts and experience with R, JavaScript, Java, or Scala is a plus.
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail, with the ability to translate data insights into actionable recommendations.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Strong interpersonal skills and a collaborative mindset, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Experience with project management tools like Jira and Confluence is a plus.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining a high level of quality and attention to detail.

Working Conditions:
- Fast paced environment with multiple projects and deadlines.
- Remote work environment with occasional meetings in the Toronto or NYC office. If you wish to work from the office more frequently, a hybrid work arrangement is possible.
