Data Analyst
An exciting opportunity
In the fast-paced and dynamic sector of international student recruitment, it is vital that we spot trends and changes in the customer journey at an early stage. The Data Analyst role is pivotal to this mission and collects, analyses and interprets complex data sets to provide actionable insight to increase student enrolments and identify areas of risk. Your expertise, along with the team, will uncover valuable insights and make a meaningful impact on our business success.
You will play a vital role in reporting on critical internal and external metrics across the recruitment pipeline in a continual effort to support effective decision-making to increase overall sales productivity. Whilst working very closely with other Data Analysts and recruitment teams worldwide, you will follow a systematic approach to analytics and user behaviour to track KPIs along the customer journey.

This role is full time and remote first, with monthly meetings in London with your team.

About the team
The Data Analytics and Insights team is evolving. As we embark on a digitalisation project, supported by EY, to transform our student recruitment journey, we envisage the nature of the team’s work will develop and change over time. Whilst you contribute your ideas and experience to the project and business as usual, we commit to listening to your voice, upskilling (where necessary) and giving you fulfilling and enjoyable work. Whilst we are at the beginning of this two-year journey, this is a great time to join this growing team.
About the role
You will have responsibility for:
Data Analysis and Interpretation: Employ statistical techniques and analytical tools to analyse data, identify trends, patterns, and correlations. Interpret and present findings in a clear and concise manner to stakeholders, providing actionable insights to support strategic and operational decision-making.Data Collection and Cleaning: Working with the Data Quality Manager, gather and organize data from various sources, ensuring data integrity, accuracy, and completeness. Identify and resolve data quality issues to maintain reliable data sets.
Reporting and Visualization: Develop comprehensive reports, dashboards, and data visualizations to effectively communicate analytical findings and complex data sets to non-technical stakeholders. Ensure the presentation of data is visually appealing, intuitive, and easily understandable.
Data Modelling and Forecasting: Working with the Data Scientist, use statistical modelling and forecasting techniques to predict future trends and outcomes based on historical data. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and improve forecasting models to enhance accuracy and effectiveness.
Data-driven Recommendations: Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand their needs and provide data-driven recommendations and solutions. Support departments across the organization by providing insights on market trends, operational efficiency, and key performance metrics.
Continuous Improvement: Stay updated on the latest industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies in data analysis. Proactively identify opportunities for process improvement, automation, and efficiency gains within the data analysis workflow.
About You
To be successful in this role, you don’t need to have experience in every responsibility listed in ‘About the role’, and you don’t need to be an expert in International Higher Education. What we are looking for is someone with the below skills who is interested and passionate about the sector we are in and how data insights can advance it.
3 + years of experience as a data analyst, or similar role, with a strong track record of manipulating and analysing complex data sets
Substantial experience producing management-level reporting and presenting findings, including dashboards, charts, MS PowerPoint.
Proficiency in computing languages and database administration, for example, SQL, R, Regression, Python, or other programming languages commonly used for data analysis
Proficiency in CRM tools, such as Salesforce, or similar
Proficiency in visualisation tools, such as Looker, Power BI, Tableau or similar
Strong knowledge of statistical concepts and experience of applying statistical techniques to data analysis
Advantageous to have experience with data modelling and forecasting techniques
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail
Strong and confident communication skills (verbal and written), including an ability to communicate technical information effectively to non-technical stakeholders
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, deadline driven environment
Strong solution focus and positive attitude
