RJS Recruitment are supporting one of the leading customs brokers and compliance providers within the UK in their search for a Customs Clearance Auditor. The succesful candidate will join a growing team of auditors to ensure that post clearance import, and export declarations are completed correctly and in line with HMRC legislation.

RESPONSIBILITIES
- To work as part of an effective team to assist with auditing post clearance import and export files, ensuring each department is compliant and highlighting any errors in a timely manner
- To keep the internal audit report and database up to date
- To attend any relevant training
- To keep own HMRC knowledge up to date
- All related administration
- Reporting issues to the Audit and Compliance Team Lead
- Working within set goals and deadlines
- Update and maintain databases and company systems
- Maintain relationships with colleagues and clients
- Demonstrate that you are honest, confidential and have integrity
- Reviewing work prior to it being processed to ensure the highest quality at all times
- Effectively manage own time, workload and resources
- Ensure that all work is accurate, and attention has been given to the finer details
- Apply company policies, standards and guidance and ensure colleagues understand how the guidelines will affect their work
Job Specifics
Qualifications
A good level of numeracy and literacy
A good academic record
Experience
Experience in the below sectors:
- Import and/or export Customs
administration
- Auditing experience
- Use and understanding of port
linked inventory systems
Knowledge
- A basic understanding of the Microsoft Office suite
- Good HMRC import and export knowledge
- An awareness of confidentiality and data protection laws and guidelines
- Ability to be flexible and contribute to other areas of the business where required.

Salary will be offered inline with the succesful candidates skills and experience
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Salary: £20,000.00-£25,000.00 per year
