Afrocet Montgomery are looking for a Commercial Manager to manage and grow the international revenue across an exciting portfolio of market leading events based in Nigeria and Ghana in the Food & Beverage Manufacturing (Processing & Packaging) sectors (Propak West Africa, Propak Ghana . You will be fully integrated into the close-knit team delivering on personal sales targets for exhibition space and sponsorship to both previous and new customers. Thsi is a perfect role for an exisiting Senior Commercial Executiove looking for the next step up.

THE POSITION & KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Responsibility and accountability to lead the commercial aspects of both annual events. Supporting the Event Director with accurate forecasting and floorplan management also ensuring that the CRM and prospect database is constantly updated and fit for purpose. The successful applicant will work closely with the marketing team to help guide the ex-prom marketing campaigns across the multiple sectors the Propak events serve. The role will include regular overseas travel to attend competitor events to meet and identify key prospects and build pipelines. You will immerse yourself in the markets to understand the trends, increasing your sector knowledge, enabling you to identify commercial opportunities. You will also support the Event Director in the pursuit of new business opportunities within our network of international sales agents.

  • An international outlook and experience would be advantageous.
  • Ability to demonstrate advanced objection handling, negotiation and closing skills both over the phone and face to face.

  • Experience of writing detailed partnership and sponsorship proposals.
  • Knowledge and experience using CRM systems.
  • Ability to nurture strong key client relationships.
  • An effective coach to pass on knowledge to other members of the team.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Computer literate.
