Job Profile Summary:
The Discretionary Investment Services team is responsible for providing high quality support to Man’s client base globally. The team performs a wide range of duties including handling client queries, assisting in pitch presentation, marketing materials, DDQs/RFPs and reporting. As such the team plays a vital role in all aspects and stages of the client experience provided by the business and is fundamental to the firm’s on-going and future success.
Responsibilities:
- Write, develop and deliver the full range of marketing collateral, making use of close proximity to the Portfolio Management teams
- Work closely with Sales, Portfolio Management and key stake holders across the business to write RFP and DDQ content of the highest quality. Ensure that the latest fund research, analysis and messaging is incorporated
- Build and maintain strong working relationships with senior sales/portfolio managers/key stakeholders
- Write and update investor communications on specific market events
- Write content for webcasts and performance updates/educational videos
- Identify opportunities and initiate projects where Investment Services can add value for the portfolio manager, sales force and wider business
- Translate complex investment ideas and data into a logical and visually engaging format
- Involvement in a variety of client focused projects
Key Skills & Experience:
- Degree level education in a relevant discipline required. Financial qualification preferred although not essential.
- Minimum of one year of relevant experience, ideally within the hedge fund industry or asset management
- Proven experience in writing, editing and executing RFPs
- Interest in ESG and sustainability related issues
- Ability to work with senior members of sales and investment management to support sales priorities
- Good organisational and time management skills. Ability to prioritise work effectively
- Ability to work independently within a team to meet demanding deadlines. Works comfortably in an entrepreneurial environment, seeks to continuously enhance own relevant skills
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. Proficient in understanding institutional / retail client expectations and requirements
- Good ability in Word, PowerPoint and Excel
- Strong numerical and analytical skills
- Ability to work under pressure to meet demanding deadlines
