
Counter Fraud Investigator - Trainee Nottingham, England

Overview
The main purpose of this role is to protect our customers, brokers/partners, and our business from fraud.
- Screening incoming referrals against fraud indicators, utilising a variety of desktop tools and open-source internet searches to identify cases for investigation.
- Be aware of different fraud types and identify these on all referrals.
- Carry out customer contact to support fraud suspicions, update and explain decisions taken.
- Manage incoming calls and e-mails relating to suspect claims.
- Deliver clear, accurate and targeted feedback to claims handlers on rejected referrals to encourage high quality future referrals.
- Validating of documents and handling sensitive data.
- Assist with the allocation of new referrals.
- Assist with the allocation of tasks.
- Monitor deadlines on various systems and flag accordingly.
- Assist with GDPR/Subject Access Requests.
- Assist with Supplier requests.
- Act upon quality check feedback.
- Keep TCF principles at the forefront of our processes. Comply with Vulnerable Customer guidance. Handle customer interactions with empathy and complaints in line with business and FCA guidelines.
- To ensure that GDPR and other regulatory requirements are met.
- Accurately record MI.
- Contribute to the running of Counter Fraud.
- Be involved in the creation of own personal development plan and be responsible to own and progress it.
Essential Skills and Knowledge:
- Attention to detail.
- Be able to identify and spot trends.
- Knowledge in Word, Excel, PowerPoint and other relevant packages.
- High level of grammar, spelling and punctuation.
- Knowledge of the motor insurance market is ideal.
