What you'll be doing
- Working with the Service Delivery Manager, Governance & Analysis Consultant and other stakeholders to support the effective financial management of Infrastructure Services costs
- Support adherence to financial controls and governance standards
- Supporting the Governance & Analysis Consultant in financial management, including tracking forecasts and spend, raising Purchase Orders, resolving queries with Finance and our suppliers, and other financial administration
- Producing regular high-quality reporting (including challenging inconsistencies)
- Additional support to the Service Delivery Manager as required (e.g. taking minutes, arranging workshops or meetings)
- Cover for the PMO Analyst in Lifecycle Management as required
What we're looking for
- Previous experience in cost and financial management is desirable
- Good understanding of financial processes, including tracking and management
- Ability to review existing processes, identifying waste and value and then improving current or developing new processes and tools[MS1]
- Some experience of project management processes, governance and controls, tools, performance measurement and metrics is desirable
- Microsoft Office knowledge including Excel, PowerPoint, Word and MSP[MS2]
- Experience with Power BI and Apptio desirable but not essential
- Good skills in organising and prioritising workloads
- Ability to work in a dynamic environment
- Good collaboration skills with wider colleagues including senior members of staff and suppliers
- Ability to communicate effectively and confidently
- Willingness to embrace new techniques and technologies and influence other parts of the business to adopt
- Ability to work remotely, support and benefit from virtual meetings, with limited reliance on face-to-face meetings
- Ability to drive own workload with minimal supervision, focusing on outcomes and benefits, rather than tasks and measures
