Job description

ABOUT PERFORMANCE ART
We believe in building brands for the modern world without traditional compromises. Here, performance and art aren't on opposite ends of the spectrum, they co-exist. The creative team lives on the bleeding edge of data-tech and systems & stories to innovate beyond what's possible.

Through individualized digital brand experiences or fully integrated platforms, our mission is to create the world’s highest performing work in the most creative way possible, all with a relentless attention to world-class craft and design.

We are a hybrid work environment where collaboration is critical to the success of the creative output. To that end, successful candidates will join their peers three days a week in office to share ideas, present to clients, grow their skills and refine their capabilities.

ABOUT THE ROLE

You love words. All sorts of words. Sentences too. You live for cracking long copy, emails, social posts, subject lines, and yes, even headlines. As an Intermediate Writer, you’re starting to become hybrid creative, flexing how a brand can show up and sound across different channels.

You see every project as a place to learn and hone your craft.

You’re able to construct compelling, persuasive narratives across divergent verticals from banking to lawn care, beauty to luxury cars.

You are a student of advertising and tech, always looking for new and innovative ways to push the boundaries of ideas and executions.

You’re familiar with performance and 1:1 channels and are always looking at how to evolve one-to-one communications beyond channel-specific CRM.

You’re detail-oriented and are excited to create human-centric, brand-building concepts that are uncompromising in their execution and effectiveness.
EXPECTATIONS
  • Develop best-in-class, 1:1 CRM campaigns for multiple audiences, multiple journeys, and multiple business channels / digital platforms, across multiple brands
  • Use your understanding of personalization, customer segmentation and modular design best practices to create value-added emails that enhance acquisition and build loyalty
  • Understand the editorial process, ensuring consistency and adherence to brand standards
  • Conceptualize and collaborate with the ACD, Art Director as a strong team, as well as designers, strategists, project managers, integrated producers, and the account team to ensure that client expectations and business objectives are consistently exceeded
  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously, while maintaining quality control throughout all phases of project development
  • Effectively articulate and champion creative concepts when presenting to clients
  • Keep up to date on emerging technologies, trends, and platforms
  • Maintain an active curiosity for the application and integration of data, technology and strategy to the agency’s creative output

QUALIFICATIONS
  • 3 – 4 years of copywriting experience in a fast-paced, agency environment
  • Proactive, self-starter who can deliver transformative campaigns for some of the world’s most respected brands
  • A strong desire to do award-winning work
  • Excellent writing, editing and research skills, with a passion for storytelling
  • Understand the power, potential and persuasiveness of data-driven creative
  • Demonstrated capacity to distill large amounts of content into compelling copy
  • Solutions-oriented team player who can work with minimal supervision
  • Current with best practices in eCRM, digital media, social media, and email
  • Post-secondary degree in Advertising, English, Fine Arts, or related field
  • Strong organizational, presentation, communication, and interpersonal skills
  • A nice person who embraces empathy, diversity, and inclusion
