Job Description:
The Bodyshop Workshop Controller is responsible for the efficient and effective management of a bodyshop workshop, ensuring that all work is completed to a high standard, on time, and within budget.
Their duties and responsibilities include:
1. Leading the Workshop Team: The Bodyshop Workshop Controller is responsible for leading and managing a team of technicians, ensuring that they are working efficiently and effectively.
2. Scheduling Work: The Workshop Controller is responsible for scheduling work and assigning tasks to technicians, ensuring that they are working on the correct jobs and completing them within the estimated timeframes.
3. Monitoring Workflow: The Workshop Controller must monitor the workflow in the workshop, ensuring that work is progressing smoothly and on schedule. They must also identify and address any delays or issues as soon as possible.
4. Quality Control: The Workshop Controller must ensure that all work completed by the technicians meets the required quality standards and that customer satisfaction is maintained.
5. Customer Service: The Workshop Controller must deal with customers, ensuring that they are kept informed about the progress of their vehicle repairs and that any issues or concerns are resolved promptly.
6. Health and Safety: The Workshop Controller must ensure that all health and safety regulations are adhered to in the workshop, and that any hazards are identified and addressed.
7. Budget Management: The Workshop Controller is responsible for managing the workshop budget, including tracking expenses and ensuring that costs are kept within budget.
8. Inventory Management: The Workshop Controller must manage the inventory of parts and supplies, ensuring that there is sufficient stock to complete all jobs.
9. Reporting: The Workshop Controller is responsible for producing reports on workshop performance, including financial and operational metrics.
