Wernick Buildings wish to strengthen its position as the leading independent manufacturer of modular and temporary buildings in the UK and as such is seeking a self-motivated individual to fill the position of Contracts Manager based at their Kenfig office to manage and administer our growing site activities. The ideal candidate should have a good understanding of the construction industry, but not necessarily modular buildings as full product training will be provided.

Duties

• Co-ordinate and manage all aspects of site activities and ensure projects are run correctly, efficiently and within laid down costs
• Assist in the financial control of all contracts
• Vet contract terms and conditions
• Supervision of sub-contractors and own workforce on site
• Give site tool box talks or ensure they are given and recorded
• Liaise with clients and attend meetings as necessary
• Issue orders to sub-contractors and obtain competitive prices where required
• Prepare site programmes using Microsoft Project
• Carry out site surveys/assist sales
• Prepare Method Statements, Risk Assessments and Construction Phase Plans
• Compile end of project maintenance files

Essential

• Black/White CSCS Card
• Knowledge of ground works and site trades
• Knowledge/experience of JCT/NEC3 Contracts
• The ability to oversee multiple contracts at the same time
• Self-motivated, organised and IT literate
• The holder of a full UK Driving Licence
