What does a “day in the life” of my new team look like?
You’ll be responsible for ensuring contractual documentation is properly stored and managed; issuing contract variations and tracking responses; managing AMS’ counter signatures; and managing contract queries (escalating where appropriate to the Contract Manager and Legal Team).
You’ll respond to ad hoc queries on the PSR suite of contracts (including the Framework Agreement, Call Off Contracts with Customers and Worker Terms) and act as a first point of call for all requests for contract variations, ensuring that the correct information and approvals have been obtained prior to drafting.
You’ll manage version control of contract templates, populate contract templates / related documentation and issue the same to Customers and Suppliers, and liaise with the contingent worker administration and supplier management teams to maintain a crib sheet of frequently asked questions and responses from the Legal Team.
Responsibilities also include:
- Ensuring uploads of signed contract documents to SharePoint / contract management system in a timely manner following completion of those documents
- Populating and providing contract templates and related documents to stakeholders upon request in an efficient manner
- Ensuring contract documents are signed efficiently and chasing signatures to ensure they are completed in a timely manner
- Maintaining trackers to show contract variations, new Customers and any affiliated Arm’s Length Bodies, and contract start/end dates
- Obtaining contract signatures and tracking documents that are outstanding for signature
- Providing initial responses to contract queries and contract change requests from the account team
What do I need to succeed in this role?
Must Haves:
- Confident with understanding the basics of commercial contracts, schedules and associated documents and populating legal templates
- Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to communicate clearly and succinctly in both written and verbal formats
- Competent Microsoft Office user, especially Word, Excel and PowerPoint
- Experience of building relationships with internal and external stakeholders
Nice to Haves:
- Legal or Business-related qualification or equivalent experience
- Experience of negotiating and drafting commercial (e.g., procurement/supply chain/recruitment) contracts, including variations, NDAs, novation agreements
- Public Sector Experience – particularly central government processes, principles, regulations, and directives
- Understanding of IR35
- Good understanding of data protection regulations
- Experience of using contract management systems and electronic signature platforms
- Understanding of liabilities and indemnities

Who will I be working with?
You’ll report into the Contracts Manager working as part of the larger PMO team of circa 7. You’ll partner with Legal Teams, Supplier Teams, Account Managers and Senior Stakeholders across different Public Sector Contracting Authorities.
