Contract Technical Business Analyst required. Synapri are supporting a leading UK Property Investment business looking to hire an experienced contract Technical Business Analyst with a background of working within data programmes. The successful BA hired will work within a small development team who will be responsible for working with business stakeholders in identifying business requirements for a new system development/transformation project.
Our client are looking for someone with a technical background. They need someone who understands SQL and data. You will need to understand how to query data structures, an understanding of data mapping, data cleaning, how and where to pull data from is all required.
The BA role will need hands-on SQL skills as they will need to identify fields (data migrations) and query data (data cleaning/conversion) as part of the role. As well as understanding conceptual data models and entity diagrams.
The BA will be involved in the UAT elements of the project working, along with the tester, with the business to complete acceptance testing and get sign-off on the deliverables.
Working as the bridge between project management, business users and the development team the BA will be responsible for requirements gathering, backlog development and refinement and the User Acceptance Testing along with the business sign off and user documentation. You will be working with the wider project team to ensure deliverables are completed in line with the agreed timescales.
You should have previous experience of working within an agile development team, preferably Agile DSDM. The application will be developed as a bespoke application, hosted within Azure.
Required Skills:
- 5+ years’ experience in a Business Analyst role with a proven track record of success in delivering systems implementation and process change projects
- Successful data project delivery
- Hands on SQL experience
- Significant and demonstrable knowledge of analyst frameworks, business process modelling and business requirements methodologies
- Experience working with software development teams, bespoke applications and enterprise systems.
- Excellent interpersonal skills for gathering requirements from stakeholders and business users.
- The ability to write comprehensive user stories to be able to deliver high-quality software with minimal guidance.
- Manage multiple development workstreams/projects.
The position is scoped outside IR35, 6 months with a view of extension. The client would prefer candidates who can spend 1 day per week onsite in Central London (City).
