We've made some forward-thinking changes to make Norfolk County Council an even better place for our social workers to work. We've embraced new ways of working so our social workers can take advantage of great technology and work where they need to. We've created a collaborative environment with strong working relationships with health professionals and partners to achieve better outcomes for the adults we support.

At the core of everything we do is excellent social work. Our '’Living well'’ approach is person-centred, based around a 3-conversation model, which lets our social workers get alongside people to help them live their lives as independently as possible, and where they can see the difference, they make.

You will have good listening skills, be flexible and adaptable to new ways of working and be committed to supporting people to maintain their independence.

You will need to be open to change, innovative and confident with a focus on strengthening social care within Learning Disabilities across Norfolk. You will build strong partnerships with service users and their families, be ambitious about what people can achieve and explore ideas for positive outcomes. We have opportunities available for social workers at all levels, including a fantastic ASYE programme, in which we will support you in your development as a social worker. If you're a qualified and dedicated social worker and want to feel part of an organisation which makes a positive difference to those living in Norfolk, we would love to hear from you.
