The Digital AI and Fraud team is working on exciting, cutting edge opportunities in the personalization and recommendations space, using deep learning and computer vision techniques. Our stack provides data scientists the capability to easily turn an algorithm into an API, and run live experimentation using a range of multivariate models. Every team relies not only on the data insights collected, but more importantly in the clever ways that we present it at every step in our digital experience.

Responsibilities:
Collaborate with analysts, engineering, product managers, and business stakeholders on a variety of personalization and recommendation related projects.
Develop and deploy deep learning and traditional ML models to solve business problems.
Coordinate with engineering to ensure models are scalable, performant for increasingly complex and large digital data sets.
Build prototypes and develop and deploy machine learning algorithms to production.
Evaluate and fine-tune existing models to improve their effectiveness and performance.
Communicate findings, methodologies, and insights to stakeholders, making complex concepts understandable and actionable.
Mentor junior team members, provide guidance, and foster a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
Qualifications:
MSc in quantitative field or equivalent experience. PhD is a plus.
A strong portfolio of past projects and demonstrated expertise in delivering production personalization and recommendation models.
Experience with modern deep learning approaches in recommendation systems, computer vision, natural language, and representation modeling.
Strong communication and collaboration skills; this position interacts with product on a weekly basis.
5+ years of commercial experience as a Data Scientist, preferably in the ecommerce space.
Strong proficiency in SQL, Python and relevant libraries and frameworks (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch).
Experience with could-based platforms and large-scale data solutions (AWS,GCP,Spark,Hadoop)
Experience making informed trade-offs that balance quick wins with long-term robust solutions.
Excellent software engineering practices, including test driven development, code review, and version control with git.
Experience with xgboost, tensorflow, pytorch, pandas, scikit-learn, etc. Proficiency with graphics/visualization software (e.g. plotly, dash, seaborn, ggplot, matplotlib, Tableau).

California: $152,000-$236,000 Annually, Colorado: $131,000- $203,000 Annually, Washington: $152,000-$236,000 Annually
