THE ROLE IN A NUTSHELL
GreenShield is undergoing an exciting transformation, and we’re looking for someone driven to work in a dynamic environment. This individual will create consistent, accurate, and effective messages tailored to our audiences. Reporting to the Editorial Manager, the Content Writer will:
- Work with the Marketing team and internal stakeholders to develop marketing materials for all products and services (e.g., facts sheets, reports, presentations, etc.)
- Copywriting for various digital channels, including website, ads, social media posts
- Write content and manage the process for our monthly newsletters for plan sponsor, advisor, and member audiences
- Work with the Product Development team on internal weekly summary of products/services and other industry updates for Sales teams and post to our internal site
- Monitor media coverage tied to our industry to provide a daily news summary for Executives/Board of Directors
- Provide writing support to produce marketing deliverables, including our annual drug trends report and pharmacy update
- Develop transition/welcome communications for new clients moving to GreenShield
- Support Sales teams with client-specific communication requests as needed
- Create timely bulletins to share our latest processes and features with health care providers
- Refresh and update materials according to the standards of our new brand guidelines
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR
- 5-7 years’ experience in a similar role
- Post-secondary education in Communications, Marketing, or English
- Excellent copy-editing and proofreading skills. Familiarity with CP Style.
- Experience in communications projects that demonstrate strong administrative and creative skills, as well as collaboration with various stakeholders
- Experience working with subject matter experts to develop content
- Knowledge of MS Office Suite and Asana
- Ability to organize and prioritize accountabilities in a deadline-driven environment
- Strong verbal communication and listening skills
- Self-reliant but enjoy creating as part of a team
- Entrepreneurial aptitude, positive attitude, customer-focus, and interest to learn
- Bilingual communication skills – English and French – considered a valued asset
- Knowledge or group benefits, insurance, and health care is also an asset
- A robust sense of humour is required
