Refrigeration and HVAC Design and Sales Engineer
Are you Refrigeration and HVAC Design and Sales Engineer looking for a new role working in and around London.
My Client is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Refrigeration and HVAC Design and Sales Engineer to join their dynamic team. As a key member of their company, you will be responsible for providing technical expertise in designing and selling refrigeration and HVAC systems to meet their clients' needs. This role requires a deep understanding of refrigeration and HVAC principles, strong problem-solving abilities, and excellent sales and communication skills.
Responsibilities:
Design and Engineering:
Utilize your expertise to design refrigeration and HVAC systems, considering factors such as load calculations, equipment selection, and energy efficiency.
Perform detailed system calculations, including heat load analysis, pipe sizing, and equipment selection, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.
Collaborate with architects, contractors, and clients to develop customized system designs that meet their specific requirements and budget constraints.
Prepare comprehensive engineering documentation, including technical drawings, equipment schedules, specifications, and bill of materials.
Sales and Business Development:
Identify potential customers and generate new business leads by proactively reaching out to clients, attending industry events, and leveraging your professional network.
Conduct thorough assessments of client needs and provide tailored recommendations for refrigeration and HVAC solutions that align with their objectives and budget.
Prepare and deliver compelling sales presentations, proposals, and quotations, effectively articulating the value and benefits of our products and services.
Negotiate contracts and pricing agreements, ensuring profitability while maintaining strong client relationships.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including project managers and technicians, to ensure successful implementation of projects and customer satisfaction.
Technical Support and Troubleshooting:
Provide technical support to clients, contractors, and internal teams throughout the project lifecycle, addressing any design or technical queries promptly and effectively.
Conduct on-site visits to troubleshoot issues, assess system performance, and recommend appropriate corrective actions.
Stay up-to-date with industry trends, advancements, and emerging technologies related to refrigeration and HVAC systems, sharing knowledge with the team and incorporating best practices into designs and sales strategies.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field. Master's degree is a plus.
- Proven experience in designing and selling refrigeration and HVAC systems, preferably in a commercial or industrial setting.
- In-depth knowledge of refrigeration and HVAC principles, equipment, codes, and standards.
- Proficiency in using industry-specific design software, such as AutoCAD, Revit, or similar tools.
- Strong sales acumen with a track record of achieving sales targets and building long-term client relationships.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail.
- Self-motivated and proactive, with the ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Valid driver's license and willingness to travel to client sites as needed.
