The opportunity:
Wellington-Altus is currently recruiting for Lead, Social and Content. Reporting to the Vice-President, Digital Marketing, the Lead, Social and Content will strategize, plan, and execute Wellington-Altus’ corporate channel content strategy. The incumbent will also enable, guide, and consult with our network of advisors to set them up for success with tools, content, guides and 1:1 consulting.
Key responsibilities include:
- Developing and own our social content and channel strategy – focused on social and .com - with the objective of raising the bar for storytelling in the wealth management/financial services industry.
- Championing content and social media best practice, developing content and social guidelines, building a content repository, and recommending tools to help our advisors leverage social media and content to tell their unique story and help grow their business.
- Making recommendations on audiences, platforms, content formats, and paid opportunities to maximize our reach and deliver results.
- Collaborating with Marketing peers and corporate stakeholders to drive thought leadership and brand narrative to meet our objectives.
- Presenting strategies, recommendations, and insights to Leadership to gain consensus and progress our content and social approach.
- Partnering with our in-house video team to create social and mobile first video content, guiding the narrative and collaborating throughout project phases.
- Implementing and work with the team to maintain a comprehensive cross-channel content calendar reflecting corporate objectives and advisor enablement.
- Creating and maintain a content marketing analytics dashboard to communicate our progress against KPIs and identify new opportunities to inform our strategy and execution.
- Keeping a pulse on our competitors, social and content trends, sharing inspiration and best practices with the team and continuously collaborating to find news tactics to test and evolve our approach .
- Acting as ambassador and custodian of the Wellington-Altus brand.
- Helping establish and implement department procedures, striving to create efficiencies.
- Managing and coach an Associate, Social Media & Content and hiring of future social and content team members.
- Performing other duties, as assigned.
The ideal candidate will possess:
- A university degree or diploma in Social Media, Digital Marketing or Communications.
- 7-10 years of experience including content strategy and execution, digital channel management, social media strategy and measurement.
- Social media expertise – organic and paid – with demonstrated experience and results specific to LinkedIn.
- Content and channel strategy.
- Working knowledge of SEO.
