Job description

We are seeking a dynamic and creative Social Media and Editorial Content Specialist to join our team and contribute to the growth of our brand. The ideal candidate will be a talented writer, have a passion for storytelling, a keen eye for detail, and a deep understanding of social media platforms and content creation. This role involves executing our social media strategy, crafting compelling editorial content for our online and print magazine "The Luxurist," and collaborating with internal and external partners to drive brand awareness and engagement.


ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES


  • Execute our social media strategy in alignment with the overall marketing strategy and brand vision.

  • Conceptualise and create engaging and evergreen editorial content for "The Luxurist" print and online magazine, utilising both human and AI inputs

  • Develop and implement social content, including visuals, copywriting, engagement campaigns, and daily posts, following a 2-week scheduling format.

  • Ensure timely preparation and uploading of articles based on the editorial calendar, with a focus on optimising content for commercial impact.

  • Ideate, plan, and execute initiatives to achieve brand and commercial objectives, meeting defined KPIs.

  • Establish and nurture meaningful relationships with target consumers, influencers, and partners to enhance brand advocacy and trust.

  • Collaborate with external brands and partners to create exclusive content that aligns with brand storytelling moments.

  • Manage "The Luxurist" homepage and content upload schedule as per the editorial calendar.

  • Engage actively with our community across all social channels and contribute to diversifying the LuxDeco audience.

  • Generate social insights and compile monthly reports, highlighting key learnings and recommendations, including campaign statistics as needed.

  • Conduct research and source on-brand images from suitable external sources.

  • Update outdated editorial content and make associated product edits to maintain relevance.

  • Create editorial-supported product edits to enhance content quality & commerciality.

  • Cultivate relationships with interior designers and PR professionals to foster brand advocacy.

  • Organise and maintain the content library to ensure easy accessibility and retrieval.

Essential


  • 1 to 2 years of experience in social media marketing or an editorial content position

  • Understanding of Adobe creative suite (namely Photoshop, Premiere Pro, Illustrator & After Effects)

  • Proven experience in social media management, content creation, and editorial writing.

  • Strong understanding of social media platforms, trends, and best practices.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • Proficiency in copywriting and storytelling.

  • Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

  • Creative mindset with an eye for aesthetics and design.

  • Familiarity with content management systems and basic image editing tools.

  • Analytical skills to generate insights from social media data.

  • Strong organisational and interpersonal skills.

  • Previous experience in the luxury, lifestyle, or interior design industries is a plus.

  • A passion for interiors


Good to have

  • Experience in influencer marketing

  • Experience in shoot production

  • The ability to balance commercial understanding with editorial flair and an interest in developing a career in e-commerce content writing

  • Knowledge of the interior design industry and its brands, as well as an interest in the general zeitgeist

  • An understanding of the Shopify platform

  • Strong communication skills with both internal and external stakeholders

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, or a related field.
