Askham Bryan College is a specialist land-based college based across the North of England. At the heart of Askham Bryan College is the Wildlife and Conservation Park. A small but diverse animal collection situated in a beautiful arboretum, a growing visitor attraction in York.
We have an exciting opportunity for a Conservation Education Manager with a passion for wildlife and education to join our Wildlife Park Team here at our York campus. This role will be working 37 hours per week on a permeant contract.
The successful candidate will develop, design and deliver education packages and events on behalf of Askham Bryan Wildlife and Conservation Park to a diverse audience. The successful candidate will be passionate about developing the Wildlife Park educational packages and will have the drive to work to income-based targets. The candidate will be engaging with our community and working closely with the Wildlife Park Manager and other Askham Bryan departments to deliver the education, conservation and research outcomes for the Wildlife Park and associated targets for the college.
We would like to hear from applicants with a positive approach to achieving outcomes and with experience in management, you will lead a small team of dedicated conservation education staff, in a fast pace environment. You will have excellent communication skills, the ability to make connections, drive and enthusiasm for zoo education activities and be available to work weekends, holidays and evenings as per the business needs.
