Role summary
Based at Shepperton Studios this role exists to provide excellent customer service as the first point of contact at the Studios. Welcoming visitors, productions, tenants and staff to the Studio and using and monitoring both Net2 and Sky-Visitor systems.
Principle accountabilities
- Issuing all necessary forms of ID passes to staff, tenants, productions and visitors, ensuring the correct level of access control with each ID badge
- Issue all necessary vehicle passes to staff, tenants, productions and visitors
- Basic Net2 trouble shooting
- Build good working relationships and be on hand to assist and advise productions on the best way to use the access control systems provided
- Ensure visitors are logged in via the Sky-Visitor system and they are collected using the correct protocol
- Ensure all necessary paper work is completed by all personnel included VPI forms and issue relevant documents such as studio regulations and security policy
- Diary management to contain relevant information relating to appointments and expected arrival times
- Assist with other functions of the Operations team (Office, Mailroom, Hub) and provide cover to other Studio when required
Nature and scope
The above accountabilities take up most of their time, which is usually spent in the Studio reception area. There is minimal planning, and they usually operate day-to-day or task to task. There is some technical skill needed which can be trained on the job, but a customer service-focussed approach is essential for success. There is minimal supervision from line management, bit minimal autonomy as most of the work is repetitive tasks where there is an established process to follow.
Skills and experience
- GCSEs passes in Maths and English or equivalent
- Customer service experience desirable but not essential
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office suite
- Excellent customer service and communication skills
- Able to commute between Studios on an ad hoc basis
