Communications Specialists - Finance Controls Assurance

This role is in a project environment that has multiple communication touch points and will be responsible for the coordinating and delivery for the Controls Transformation Communication plan for the Organisational Change Management (OCM) strategy, and the Communications and Engagement plan.
You will have significant input in the development and evolution of the Communications and Engagement plan as the programme progresses. More widely, you will support in the development and delivery of key communications from the broader Global Internal Controls (GIC) team where required.
Key accountabilities:
- In conjunction with the OCM Lead and the L&D Manager, you will support the development of strategies and messages to deliver effective, consistent, and timely communications to stakeholders.
- Responsible for mapping and monitoring communications to stakeholders across the Controls Transformation programme to drive engagement, reduce resistance to the change and build awareness of Controls Transformation agenda across the group.
- Track and report engagement and adoption across our stakeholder community.
- Be responsible for measuring the effectiveness of program communication, feeding in the insights gained to continually evolute and improve the OCM Strategy and communications plan.
- Function as a trusted adviser to the leadership team on all communication subjects; maintaining strong relationships with the Corporate Communications and Central Programme teams.
- Actively engage in activities to build and maintain a positive brand for Controls, the Controls Transformation Programme and the wider GIC team.
- Support the OCM Lead in developing action plans and solutions to increase stakeholder engagement and embed new ways of working across the programme and in the handover to “BAU”.
- Use digital and traditional communications to engage a diverse stakeholder group.
- Collect and analyse data and create visionary and engaging narratives.
- Support the activities at the market level to ensure the consistency of messaging throughout and optimise the timing of messages.
- Execute surveys to identify stakeholder readiness, adoption and to collect feedback across the programme landscape.
Prior communications experience:
- Designing best practice templates to facilitate the preparation and delivery of engaging, consistent communications, and other targeted stakeholder engagement.
- Design, develop, and execute internal communications through multiple channels that drive the engagement and facilitate the change needed to embed new ways working in the business
- Excellent written and verbal communications with exposure to delivery in a project environment
- Experience in corporate communications for large size corporate business
- Experience of working in a dynamic, time-pressured project environment
- Strong stakeholder management skills with ability to build and manage a network of contacts
- Experience of working with a variety of traditional and digital communication
- Expert knowledge and skill on MS applications including Word, PPT, Excel and use of Adobe and Visio Ability to manage and prioritise workload to given deadlines.
