We are looking to recruit a Coating Operator to prepare, spray and in – process inspect customer product.

Main responsibilities:
- To prepare customer product for spraying including cleaning, masking and blasting
- Operate semi-automatic equipment using predetermined programmes
- HVOF Spraying of Customer product
- Plasma Spraying of customer product
- Sealing process of customer product
- Maintain required control of jigging / fixtures to ensure readily available and placed in correct designated area
- Monitor and maintain section consumables
- Stock control of powder and ensure stored in neat and tidy manner
- Stripping of coating from Jigs / fixtures
- Goods Inwards inspection of received product
- In process inspection of customer product
- The correct use of company documentation
- Movement of work to the correct designated areas around the shop floor.
- Monitoring and reporting on all material effecting processing.
- Ensure machines / Spray Booths are operated according to site and manufacturers recommendations
- Follow company health & safety procedures and disciplines
- Follow and comply with company environmental procedures.
- Follow and Comply with all quality system requirements relevant to Job Description
- Keep the working environment clean and tidy and practise good housekeeping / 5S Techniques
- Work with the philosophy – IF IN DOUBT – ASK! AND NO SURPRISE ENVIRONMENT
Qualifications, experience and skills:
- Experience working in an engineering environment
- Ability to read engineering drawings
- GCSE Maths
- Attention to detail, energy, enthusiasm and a ‘can-do’ attitude
- Thermal spraying experience desirable but not essential as on the job training will be provided
