Job description
We are looking for a full time cleaner to join us at the University Library. The main University Library is based on West Road but consists of a number of affiliated and departmental libraries across Cambridge.
You will be working as part of a team carrying out cleaning and various other duties to a high standard in order to maintain and enhance the working environment. No prior specialist training is required. However, it is essential that the role holder is able to clean to a high standard and has a willingness to be trained on the job.
The vacancy will be predominantly based at the University Library, West Road, whilst sickness and holiday cover will be required at the Betty and Gordon Moore library, Wilberforce Road.
You will have good attention to detail and take pride in your work. You will preferably have experience of cleaning (offices, public areas), and be able to prioritise your workload with minimal supervision. The ability to work cooperatively as part of a team and good communication skills are essential.
