We are looking for an enthusiastic and customer focussed Undergraduate Admissions Assistant to join our Undergraduate Admissions team. The role is a job-share post for 14 hours per week, working 3.5 hours a day over any 4 days Monday – Friday .
We can offer flexibility re garding exact working hours (eg. mornings or afternoons). The Admissions Team are currently working in a hybrid home/office format which is still under review and may be subject to change. Under current arrangements, the post-holder may work fully on-campus or may choose to operate in a hybrid on-campus / off-campus working mode once their initial training has been completed satisfactorily. As a minimum, the post holder is expected to work 40% of their working hours on-campus and will be expected to attend other on-campus meetings and events as required.
The office is responsible for the administrative management of undergraduate admission to the College of Medicine and Veterinary Medicine. This role is responsible for providing comprehensive clerical support to all aspects of the work of the office, ensuring efficient and effective administration of the admissions cycle and the pre-arrival period .
The Opportunity:
You will be part of a small team in a busy, lively office admitting suitably qualified applicants to the College. The successful applicant will be efficient and customer-focused, with proven ability to plan and prioritise their own work to ensure that deadlines are met. Excellent communication skills and an eye for detail are required, as is the ability to establish good relationships with applicants, academics and other professional services staff .

- Relevant experience working in an office environment, ideally with a high level of client contact.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Meticulous attention to detail.
- Ability to sustain high level performance under pressure and when working to deadlines.
- Demonstrable ability to plan and prioritise effectively
- Ability to work flexibly as part of a small team, but also able to take a lead, be resourceful and use initiative appropriately.
