Job introduction

Are you passionate about delivering change that has a long-lasting, positive impact on people’s lives and where they live? This is an exciting opportunity to join a service that has a direct influence on supporting residents in the city of Brighton & Hove.

We are looking for a School Travel Advisor to join our team. You will work with education settings across the city to support the development, promotion and co-ordination of sustainable travel measures and initiatives for the school journey.

The post holder will work with schools to encourage and enable alternatives to car use, providing support for the implementation of actions and behaviour change initiatives resulting from School Travel Plans

The School Travel Advisor will work closely with the School Streets Project Officer and Senior Project Managers to ensure that all school travel planning is aligned with our ambitious School Streets programme.

You will be based in our modern, open plan offices in Hove Town Hall and benefit from flexible working, including home-working. Joining an enthusiastic and supportive team, you will collaborate with colleagues from a range of fields, working closely with Transport Project teams to deliver transport changes across the city.

Your starting salary will be pro rata if the above position is less than 37 hours or term-time only.
