About this role

We are looking for a cleaner to clean residential property areas to high standards in order to provide pleasant communal spaces for our residents and working areas for staff, and to work positively and proactively with the team and take pride in ensuring the building is clean, presentable and well maintained at all times.

What you will do

You’ll strive to achieve excellence in day-to-day cleaning of our buildings and contribute to a great first impression to visitors, whilst building good working relationships with staff and residents and helping to ensure the smooth running of the building

This role reports to the Property Manager and you will be responsible for:

Cleaning areas

  • Communal spaces, corridors, gym and work from home spaces (if applicable)
  • Office spaces, staff kitchen and toilets
  • Apartments on a regular cleaning service for in-house tenants
  • External areas to ensure clean and tidy
  • End of tenancy cleaning if requested.

Daily

  • Dusting surfaces, sills and units
  • Cleaning door handles and skirtings
  • Cleaning mirrors and other glass surfaces
  • Vacuuming carpets and rugs
  • Sweeping/vacuuming, mopping, and polishing floors
  • Checking for cobwebs
  • Cleaning sinks, toilets, showers as required
  • Cleaning kitchen surfaces and appliances as required
  • Refilling and restock cleaning supplies and toiletries as required (handwash, toilet paper, paper towels)
  • Emptying bins, cleaning and replacing the bin bags
  • Working positively and proactively to minimise complaints
  • Reporting any faults, damage to maintenance and/or Property Manager

Weekly/Monthly

  • Disinfection and deep cleaning
  • Site inspection with Property Manager
  • Assist with stock control and replenishment of cleaning materials
  • Assist with inventories during busy periods

About you - your experience, knowledge and skills. Ideally you will have:

  • Working knowledge of the English language
  • One year of cleaning experience in a domestic or commercial environment. (Cleaning in commercial or industrial buildings and/or use of commercial cleaning equipment and machinery would be an advantage, but not a necessity)
  • Working knowledge of Health & Safety matters and safe use and handling of cleaning chemicals
  • Good organisation skills.
