Job description
We’re looking for a Claims Handler to join our team in Bradford on a permanent full-time basis.
Reporting into the into the Claims Team Manager, the role will primarily be focused on either handling claims made on behalf of the various consumer brands as well as defending claims made against them and will be within one of the Key Area shown below.
You will be responsible for running your own portfolio of matters using a case management system and have access to some of the latest technology to help you in day-to-day activities.
All paralegal roles will be supported by specialists and a Team Manager to ensure you gain the skills and expertise to progress in your legal career.
Based in our Shared Service Centre, known as LGSSC. Acts as a central specialty service supporting the wider Liberty Global group with specialisms in areas of Finance, Accounting, People, Legal & Systems. This central team supports a number of businesses across the Liberty Global footprint including Virgin Media.

What will you be doing?
- Analyse new claim instructions data to determine recovery prospects or to sign post investigations.
- Work with legal team to progress claims.
- Support research projects undertaking legal research using specialized data sources.
- Design and test various automation solutions with C&I business partners.

Essential:
- Organised with a keen eye for detail.
- An enthusiastic approach and willingness to learn.
- Good communicator who is willing to ask lots of questions.
- Comfortable on the telephone.
- Ability to prioritise workload.
- Experience with MS Office, including Excel
Desirable:
- Previous experience in a Law firm in a Paralegal (or similar) role.
- Knowledge of law and experience of case handling.
We do consider opportunities to support paralegals to qualification via the Legal Apprenticeship and SQE subject to performance and completion of a minimum level of service.
