Oleochem Project Management Ltd are a recognised global market leader in production chemistry, personnel supply and laboratory training to the upstream production and downstream process industries. We are proud to maintain a longstanding reputation for high calibre, experienced, offshore chemists who manage and operate process laboratories offshore and onshore worldwide.
We are currently seeking Offshore Chemists to join our team.
Applicants should hold a degree in a scientific discipline and have direct experience working in the offshore industry. They must have a sound understanding of the production process, including product field trials, chemical compatibilities and process optimisation.
Applicants are expected to have in-date relevant offshore certification which includes BOSIET/FOET, OGUK medical & MIST training.
Main duties and responsibilities will include:
- Responsibility for laboratory operations, routine and non-routine analysis; reviewing and analysing the resulting data.
- Safe sampling of selected facility process and utility streams.
- Managing chemical inventory.
- Application and trialling of production chemicals.
- Assisting with well testing programs.
- Providing training for production chemistry related matters.
- Creating procedures to ensure they are up-to-date and reflective of legal requirements and current practices.
Applicants should hold
- A degree in a relevant scientific discipline.
- At least two years direct experience in an Offshore Chemist role.
- Sound technical knowledge of chemical use and capabilities.
- Ability to work under pressure, analysing problems and implementing solutions.
