Job description
Zone4kids, Whitley Lodge (part of Tynemouth Nursery Group) are looking for a full-time nursey cook to join our 'OUTSTANDING' staff team. This is a very busy setting cooking for 52 children daily, Monday - Friday, 8.30am - 4.30pm, (excludes Public & Bank Holidays).
Level 2, 3 Food Hygiene qualification preferred as well as experience of working in a kitchen, especially a nursery or school setting. You must be able to prepare suitable nutritious food for weening babies, toddlers and children aged up to 10 years old. If this is you we would love to hear from you.
Your role as Nursery Cook will include:
- Preparing well balanced meals for children aged 0-10
- Working with the Area cook to plan menus
- Stock control
- Ensuring high levels of hygiene and cleanliness are met at all times
- Maintain records in accordance with Environmental Health polices and processes
- Ensure all special dietary requirements/allergies are met.

Job offers are subject to 2 satisfactory references and an Enhanced DBS check.
Proof of an Enhanced DBS check carried out in the last 2 years is required. If you are not on the Update Service, a knew DBS will be applied for at the cost of TNG.
