GHD has an excellent opportunity for a Project Engineer for Water and Wastewater Linear Infrastructure in Irvine, CA. The role will largely be focused on the planning, design, and construction of a diverse range of water and wastewater related projects.

Duties and Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Working with design teams in the preparation of plans, technical specifications and cost estimates
- Preparing engineering studies and related reports and technical memorandums
- Performing hydraulic analyses using manual or computer based software applications
- Preparing other engineering calculations and similar project related duties
- Other responsibilities include attending client and project team meetings
The Ideal candidate would have the following skill set:
- An interest in developing new business and interacting directly with clients
- Strong technical understanding of general civil engineering principles with an emphasis in water and wastewater conveyance
- Ability to complete diverse assignments with a high attention to detail
- Demonstration of an understanding of pipeline and pump station hydraulics
- Strong communication, networking, and interpersonal skills
- Be able to work well in a collaborative team environment and communicate ideas and technical information to staff, supervisors, and clients in a professional manner
- Willing to occasionally travel to other GHD offices, client offices and project sites, perform occasional field observations related to design and construction
- Competent in the use of Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Project)
- Competency in the use of AutoCAD Civil3D is desired.
Qualifications:
- BS in Civil or Environmental Engineering from an ABET accredited program
- Registered Civil Professional Engineer in California, or the ability to qualify for and obtain a California Civil PE within 24 months
- Minimum 5 years civil engineering experience in serving municipal and utility water, recycled water, and wastewater agencies

Salary Range: $92,000- $138,000 based on experience.
