Job summary
Applications are invited for a unique and exciting opportunity to work at the heart of Island life supporting the work of the Lieutenant-Governor from experienced drivers with an excellent knowledge of Island roads and locations.
The wide-ranging and varied work of the Office of the Lieutenant-Governor will bring the post holder into contact with a very broad and diverse range of people and situations which will often require exercising a degree of discretion, confidence and initiative. The post holder will be required to work split shifts, weekends and public holidays.
- Possess driving skills to ensure passengers travel in a safe, smooth and efficient manner.
- Excellent knowledge of Island locations and routes
- Basic knowledge of car maintenance.
- Good knowledge of car valeting and detailing.
- Ability to communicate and proven interpersonal skills.
- the ability to respect confidentiality and exercise discretion and diplomacy.
- the ability to work effectively, at times under pressure, and be a team player.
- Manual Worker Grade 6 based on a 37 hour week.
