Applications are invited for a Centre Coordinator for the Minderoo Centre for Technology and Democracy (MCTD). This varied and responsible role offers an exciting opportunity to be part of this research centre. The role holder is responsible for the day to day administration activities and process of a division/centre in order to ensure efficient and effective operation of the centre. The postholder will support the research life-cycle and oversee the efficient running of the Centre, as well as support strategic partnerships with current and future funders.
The successful applicant will be educated to Degree level/Level 6 vocational qualifications or equivalent level of practical experience. They will have relevant experience from senior administrative roles and managing staff. The successful candidate will have experience of programme management and delivery of complex projects in a challenging and changing environment. The role holder must be numerate, have excellent organisational skills knowledge of (or the ability to quickly learn the University Financial System and grant modules.
The Minderoo Centre for Technology and Democracy (MCTD) is the first node in a planned international network of academic centres established to rebalance power and restore agency in a world dominated by digital platforms. MCTD is hosted within (CRASSH) and is supported by the Frontier Tech initiative.
The funds for this post are available until 28 February 2025 in the first instance. Working arrangements in terms of in-office or from home can be discussed.
Start date is from 10 April 2023 or as soon as possible thereafter. Interviews are planned for the Tuesday 4 April 2023.
