Governors are seeking to appoint a highly motivated, caring and friendly Catering Manager to join our outstanding team at Cobbs Brow Primary. As the Catering Manager you will have full operational and financial responsibility for the schools catering facility, focusing on delivering the highest quality of food and service as well as having the passion and ability to make this one of the best school catering facilities in Skelmersdale.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Ensuring consistency of food and service standards delivered to the students and staff
- Overseeing menu development
- Having full control of the catering operation including stock, food
- Organising monthly promotions and added value events to help increase school uptake
- Managing and improving all controllable costs
- Maintaining school systems & procedures, and legislation
- Managing other catering staff
About you. We need someone who shares our vision for delivering exceptional food and service to our schools along with the following skills and experience:
- OND or HND qualified (not essential but would be advantageous)
- Chef/Craft based experience using fresh ingredients
- Experience of providing a food service to approximately 150-200 customers with a view to increasing this take
- Knowledge of current health and safety practises
- Line management experience
- Experience within a similar environment

This position is part time term time only, please note the salary quoted is full time equivalent. If successful the salary received will be paid on a pro rata basis.
