Catering Assistant - Based within Atrium Café Derby Road Mansfield, England
Job description
We are seeking to appoint a confident strong team member to work within the Atrium Cafe at our Derby Road College Site.
The Atrium Café is our latest catering service outlet, located within the very busy college Atrium, in the heart of our Derby Road campus. We are looking for a confident individual who can provide a great experience to our customers.
Our service is orientated around our very popular Starbucks coffee offering, with the emphasis all geared around fast service products. The Atrium Café serves a variety of hot & cold savoury & sweet goods including handmade breakfast rolls, baguettes, sandwiches, wraps, boxed salads & paninis, all of which you will be responsible for preparing onsite.
You will be required to be a hands-on team member and work with college students, who will form part of the staffing for the cafe. You should have a flexible approach to work, be customer focused and can meet strict deadlines within the service. You must have a minimum of Level 2 Food safety and be able to communicate well with the current team and ensure you adherence to our 5 Star hygiene standards, quality, and customer service.
Ideally you should have experience in working within a small team within a fast-paced commercial catering environment and demonstrate the ability to develop the current provision in line with changing trends.
In addition, full training will be provided to the successful candidate on food service in all our areas.
The Café will open 10.30am – 6.30pm Monday to Friday, so the successful candidate would be expected to work within these hours.
