Job Title: IT Support Specialist
Job Summary:
As the IT Support Specialist, you will be responsible for providing technical support to our clients employees. The role involves troubleshooting hardware and software issues, setting up and maintaining computer systems, and ensuring that their technology infrastructure is running smoothly.
As the IT Support Specialist, your key responsibilities will be as follows:
- Provide first-level technical support
- Troubleshoot hardware and software issues and provide solutions
- Set up and configure computer systems, including hardware and software installation
- Maintain and update technology infrastructure, including servers and networking equipment
- Monitor and maintain system security, including the implementation of security protocols and updates
- Create and maintain detailed documentation of IT processes and procedures
- Escalate complex or high-priority issues to the appropriate team for resolution
- Continuously improve knowledge of industry best practices and emerging technologies
- Meet or exceed individual and team performance targets
To be considered for this post, all applicants should have the following skills & experience:
- 2-3 years of experience in an IT support role
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field
- Proficiency with Windows and Mac operating systems
- Knowledge of networking principles and protocols
- Experience with remote support tools and techniques
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Ability to work well in a team environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
Location: Southampton
Hours: Full-time (40 hours per week)
