W. L. Food Trading Inc. is a local food wholesale business in Scarborough specalizing in Asian products. We are a professional, customer-centric and an inclusive company who takes pride in serving the restaurant community across the GTA.
We are seeking a warehouse associate/ picker and deliver driver to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for storing, picking and delivering products within the warehouse to our customers. This position requires the ability to lift heavy items, operate machinery, work in a team setting and deliver products to the customer. The ideal candidate will have strong organizational skills, work ethic, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a physically demanding fast-paced environment. Those who are unable to operate our vehicles will be able to fill the role as the delivery driver's partner during restaurant deliveries.
Responsibilities:
- Organize, store and pick inventory in the warehouse and deliver to customers
- Load and unload items from trucks and containers.
- If hired as a driver, you must have a valid Canadian Driver's License and can safely operate a 'G' Class 20-26' Box Trucks to make deliveries to our customers.
- Being able to effectively communicate in Cantonese and/ or Mandarin is highly preferred.
- Have a good track record of accuracy and high attention to detail.
- Previous experience as a warehouse associate/ picker is preferred.
- Experience operating a forklift is highly preferred.
- Ensure that all safety protocols are followed in the warehouse.
- Perform regular maintenance checks on machinery.
- Keep the warehouse clean and organized.
- Comfortable lifting 25kg of weight from the ground.
- Demonstrate reliability, punctuality and commitment to work in a fast paced environment.
Job Type: Full-time
Salary: $175.00-$200.00 per day
