We are recruiting for a number of Catering Assistants to join our Catering Team here in our Liverpool Head Office and Distribution Centre.
You will be responsible for the delivery of professional service at all times, as well as food preparation and presentation, cash handling and ensuring food safety compliance.
The ideal candidates will have experience within a fast paced catering or hospitality environment and feel passionate about providing customers with a great dining experience. You will be welcoming and approachable with excellent communication skills, acting as an ambassador for the function.
Job Overview- Maintain a professional customer and staff relationship
- Ensure the delivery of a professional service at all times
- Responsibility for cash handling, stock control and stock taking
- Ensure kitchen and customer areas are clean at all times
- Be responsible for the preparation and presentation of all food to the required standards
- Ensure compliance with all company administration and monitoring procedures:
- Recording of food temperatures
- Delivery records
- Recording of fridge and freezer temperatures
- Food storage and labelling in accordance with guidelines
- Daily administration of bookwork including Food Safety Diaries and allergen management including Natasha’s law
- Minimum Level 2 Hygiene certificate and Level 2 Food Safety certificate
- Knowledge of food production methods
- Experience in a fast paced catering or hospitality environment
- Ability to organize and prioritise daily work load
- Excellent verbal communication skills
- Ability to problem solve and remain calm within a fast paced environment

Package- £10.73 per hour
- Contracted hours available per week:
- 40 hours, working any 5 out of 7 days
- 30 hours, working any 5 out of 7 days
- 20 hours, working any 3 out of 7 days
- All of the above can include working weekends
- Shifts will be between 6-8 hours long and vary between: 6:00am - 10:00pm
- 5.6 weeks paid holiday per year rising to 6.6 weeks upon 5 years' service
