Job description

I'm currently recruiting a Senior Category Manager - Marketing for a professional services company in London The Category Manager will be responsible for managing the full procurement cycle of a range of Content Production spend products and services. Previous Marketing category experience is essential and experience with Content Production procurement (Video/Photo Production, Postproduction, Licences etc.) would be desirable.

This role will be responsible for the overall strategy and sourcing activities for your category and building and implementing category approach for the next 3 years. The person will be responsible for launching request for proposal/quotation at the group level for the related category and implement and follow up enhanced Vendor Management Program for Strategic and Important vendors.

Role Responsibilities:

  • Undertake spend analysis, trends and opportunities and makes recommendations for new projects or improvements
  • Undertake market research and consult stakeholders to understand technical and commercial aspects of a range of business needs
  • Work with various stakeholders to articulate business needs and outcomes, whilst aligning to procurement process
  • Prepare category and sourcing strategy for Content Production
  • Oversee the evaluation process, ensuring compliance with all policy requirements
  • Draft contract terms from a standard template and negotiate contractual terms
  • Track savings and cost avoidance potential, dealing with financial planning and forecasting

Skills & Experience:

  • Minimum 5 years’ experience of category management and executing complex RFP processes
  • Marketing Procurement experience is a must
  • Previous Content Production experience (Video/Photo Production, Postproduction, Licences etc.) would be desirable
  • Developed project management skills: highly organised and able to prioritise tasks
  • Advanced negotiations skills
  • Business acumen

Please note this role is based in West London and work on a hybrid model, 1-2 days a week in the office and the rest WFH
