This role provides an exciting opportunity to join the team at West Berkshire Museum on a casual basis.
We are looking for an individual who will be able to give excellent customer service to people using the Museum, the Cafe and Gift Shop, whilst maintaining a safe, clean and operable facility at all times.
You will work under the Museum Operations Manager as part of the front of house team and ensuring the smooth running of the Museum, Café and Gift Shop on a day to day basis. This will include times when the Museum Operations Manager is absent. In addition to general visitor welcome and catering duties, tasks will include but are not limited to, act as a key holder, unlocking and locking the building, ensuring that the building is safe and clean at all times and that health and safety procedures are followed, provide information and guidance to museum visitors, cash handling and receiving deliveries.
An interest in history is not essential, but may make the role more enjoyable for the applicant.
