Communications Assistant (Apprentice)
Location: Hounslow
Salary: £23,000
The Communications Team has an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic Communications Assistant (Apprentice) to join our dynamic team and gain a Level 4 qualification of Public Relations and Communication Assistant. This position is well suited to an individual that is looking to advance their career in Communications and gain hands-on experience in a thriving and supportive workplace.
What is the Role of a Communications Assistant Apprentice..
- Create interesting and well-written content in simple language that follows our brand guidelines and connects with the people we want to reach. This content should work on different platforms like social media, websites, our internal networks and traditional media.
- Work with graphic designers and media professionals to create visual elements, graphics and videos that are inclusive and diverse.
- Upload and publish content on various platforms, including websites, social media channels, display screens, intranets and staff systems and platforms.
- Monitor content performance using analytics tools, track engagement metrics and provide insights to help improve future content.
- Support the communications team in coordinating and managing content production schedules, deadlines, and workflows. Implement and support communications strategies and plans including, email, blogs, display advertising, in-person meetings, events and more.
- Work closely with teams across the business to gather content and requirements to create communications plans with clear objectives and key messages.
- Stay up to date with what's happening in our industry, new ways to present content, and the best methods to make our content better. It's important to keep learning and be aware of new social media and digital communication tools and trends.
We are looking for someone who…
- Relevant creative course or degree qualification.
- English/English Language GCSE/A-level (7-9/A-C).
- CIPR Qualification or working towards is desirable.
- Exceptional time management and prioritisation skills. Resilient under pressure.
- Strong and up to date knowledge of modern communication principles and best practice.
- Ability to manage own workload, often with conflicting priorities.
- Exceptional written and spoken communication. A natural storyteller and creative writer.
- Ability to build relationships across various stakeholder groups.
- Computer literate with significant ability and knowledge of all Microsoft Office and Adobe suite applications.
- Naturally uses what they know and what they learn about the company's inside and outside world to make communication better.
- Experience of working across multiple sites and locations.
