Job description
Title: Casting Agent
Reports to: Head of Casting
Office Hours: Monday to Friday [1000-1900]
Overview
Organised, on-the-ball, and in love with the fast-paced world of TV and Film?
Based at the UK’s biggest production hub, Pinewood Studios, Uni-versal Extras is a lively and exciting casting agency in search of a Casting Agent to join our talented team.
Uni-versal Extras works hand-in-hand with many major Film, TV and commercial companies; supplying Artistes and aiding in the creation of some of the world’s most prolific productions.
The Role
We are looking for a confident, go-getting Casting Agent to come on board team UVE.
Using your keen eye for detail, you will manage and develop client accounts, oversee and motivate a team of Casting Coordinators assigned to you on your own designated productions, and deliver top-notch results to all UVE clients with a smile.
You will be required to work closely with/steer our existing casting team, liaise with many high-profile media contacts, and contribute to the creation of many brilliant productions shooting all over the UK.
This role would be best suited to an ambitious, results-driven individual that is comfortable working to tight (and sometimes tricky) deadlines and/or briefs.
Additionally, you will have…
- Proven Casting, Account Management or other relevant experience
- Fantastic communication skills, at both Executive and C-levels (verbal and written), as well as natural relationship-building tendencies
- The ability to prioritise and multitask in a bustling production environment
- Excellent listening, negotiation and presentation skills
- A positive and proactive demeanour; able to balance complex client needs with infallible attention to detail
Responsibilities
- Ensure the timely and successful delivery of Artistes according to the client’s requirements and production objectives.
- Be responsible for the visual interpretation of provided casting briefs (a good eye for face and body is critical to create “look portfolio” for production).
- Be the primary point of contact for Clients, and develop a trusted relationship with key accounts, customer stakeholders and executive sponsors.
- Maximise speed-to-market, deliver revenue and control costs to meet monthly targets.
- Communicate clearly the progress of monthly/quarterly initiatives to internal stakeholders as well as forecast and track key account metrics.
- Be responsible for keeping current clients satisfied and deliver exceptional client service on a day-to-day basis.
- Work closely with the Head of Casting to onboard and integrate new clients, develop existing relationships and explore opportunities to add value to the department.
Sounds just like you? We’d love to hear from you.
