JOB SUMMARY
As a Accounts Receivable - Cashier in Finance, you will be responsible for creating exceptional experiences for our guests. Your tasks as a Accounts Receivable will include but not be limited to:
- Count, record and bank daily cash in accordance to audit requirements at all times.
- Maintain adequate supply of change to ensure sufficient funds available and provide daily cash and change requirements for the hotel.
- Maintain and disperse cash from house fund safe and petty cash fund, account for all disbursements from funds and perform monthly house bank count
- Issue floats to all cashiers as needed after performing training and ensuring all audit points are explained and maintain a documented inventory and training record of all cashiers.
- Conduct surprise counts throughout the month to ensure on a rolling basis all floats have had a surprise count in addition to the month end full count of all floats.
- Update and complete General Cashier Report according to system posted report after
- Distribute cashier over/short notifications to the relevant Heads of Department (HOD’s) on the day to ensure these are cleared by the next day.
- Pay petty cash disbursement with appropriate signatures and receipts
- Reconcile all credit card accounts to ensure bank and PMS reconcile on daily basis
- Ensure daily AR transfers are performed after checking all backups first if not completely supported investigate before transferring and sending out to client.
